This syllabus contains all information pertinent to this class. It is your responsibility to read the syllabus thoroughly and to be sure that you understand all of it's provisions. If you do not agree or do not believe that you cannot comply with any of the terms in the syllabus, you should withdraw from the course immediately.
This is a writing-intensive course. There will be regular class preparation assignments, a term paper, and a class debate. Dates for all of these are given in the Course Plan. Attendance and participation are also graded. The instructor reserves the right modify this syllabus and the grading structure of the class in order to assign other work as he deems it necessary or helpful to do so.
